Getxo boasts a splendid marina full of cafés and restaurants, and also the Getxo Aquarium, which contains reproductions of the ecosystems of the river Abra. We will also find recreational ports in Plentzia, Santurtzi, Lekeitio, Zierbena and Ondarroa. Bermeo is the major port in the Bay of Biscay as regards coastal fishing, and is full of colourful boats neatly lined up. The “Aita Guria” interpretation centre shows the relationship between Bermeo and the sea during the 17th century. In Mundaka, the small port is located right in the town centre. Santurtzi, Lekeitio and Ondarroa combine the tough art of fishing with the colours and tradition of their berths.
