On the western edge of the left bank of the Nervion ria is located the small municipality of Zierbena, which still retains the fishing aura of past times and an authentic coastal cuisine. The combination of countryside and coast makes Zierbena an ideal spot to relax and enjoy yourself in a peaceful, typical Basque setting, just 20km from the bustle of the Big City.

The fishing port of Zierbena and La Arena beach are the two main attractions for tourists in this municipality which boasts an exceptional landscape, typical of the Basque coast. With its traditional charm, the fishing boats and pleasure crafts, the fishing port is watched over by an unbeatable selection of restaurants to delight the palate.

Zierbena has several hiking trails which can also be covered by bicycle, which lead the visitor to the fantastic views over sea and mountain.
