The twelve municipalities making up the Basque Biscay Coast boast breathtaking cliffs. From small beaches and coves, including the longest in Biscay, to various natural resources such as San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (between Bermeo and Bakio). Urdaibai, declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The only monument in EUSKADI included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, Puente de Bizkaia (the Biscay Bridge) (between Portugalete and Getxo).
The Basque Biscay Coast comprises thirteen municipalities (Zierbena, Santurtzi, Portugalete, Getxo, Sopelana, Plentzia, Gorliz, Bakio, Bermeo, Mundaka, Gernika and Lekeitio) and offers surprising routes, open air activities and sports. From hiking routes, to surfing, bodyboarding, kayak canoeing, sailing, diving, horse riding, mountain biking, hang gliding, canoeing, archery...there is something for everyone.
